PrekindergartenPrekindergarten is a time for children to learn to love school. At Cedar River Academy, we strive to create a warm, nurturing environment that stimulates learning, and prepares children for continued success in our upper grade level classes and in life. Children are introduced to the Cedar River Academy's Values for a Global Community, a program designed to develop a strong sense of responsibility, and accountability for one's own actions. Our prekindergarten classes provide a safe introduction to organized learning. Children experience a balanced day, with both teacher-directed, and student-initiated activities. We use instructional formats that allow each child to progress at their own pace. In addition to daily focus on language, literacy and math development, the children are introduced to a variety of information as part of our thematic instructional units.
