Foreign Language ProgramCedar River Academy believes that knowledge of multiple languages is critical to success in the global economy. To build global citizens, it's important for young children to become familiar with other languages, and cultures. What better motivation to become bi-lingual than to have a friend that speaks Spanish, and reflects the Hispanic culture? At Cedar River Academy, we strive to maintain a linguistically-diverse staff, along with a diverse student population. We incorporate stories and songs that contain other-than-English language in our curriculum and community events. We provide daily instruction in Spanish, beginning with prekindergarten. As we grow and expand to the upper grades and secondary school, Cedar River Academy will continue to place an emphasis on acquiring a foreign language as part of our program, and will offer traditional classes in other languages.
