Founder's Message

I believe it is the profound responsibility of parents, educators, and families to assure our children are given the clear opportunity and support to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will empower them throughout their lives. Cedar River Academy was formed to provide an advanced, progressive educational environment that will achieve these goals.

The team of professionals we have assembled at Cedar River Academy have the capacity and opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of children. We have gathered a group of professional educators who are dedicated to collaboratively studying individual children, understanding their learning styles, documenting their knowledge development, and guiding them to joyfully discover new knowledge. We have created an environment where every student is provide and Advanced Placement learning experience where they can learn broadly and deeply. Constant child-centered collaboration between teachers, students, parents, and coaches supports students as they explore new knowledge, solve complex problems in multiple ways, and experience learning in the context of life.

We understand that children need to be brighter, stronger, and more focused than ever; but we acknowledge that kindness, service to others, and etiquette are still the underpinnings of success. At Cedar River Academy, we support our students in developing all the skills they need to achieve their goals while in school, and in the real world.
