Head of School's WelcomeGreetings, As the Head of School for Cedar River Academy and a life-long educator, I believe children are priceless treasures. They are the messengers to a time that I will never see and it is critical that they develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will empower them throughout their lives. It is our responsibility as parents and educators to ensure that each child grows to become an accomplished and productive adult. Cedar River Academy was formed to provide an advanced, progressive educational environment that will achieve these goals. At Cedar River Academy, we strive to maintain an unparalleled learning environment for our students. We have gathered a group of professional educators who are dedicated to enhancing the lives of our students and their families on a daily basis. Through collaborative relationships with families, our teachers and staff are able to extend learning beyond the classroom. Our children take part in a wide range community activities designed to allow them to gather data through their own observations and to incorporate that information within their class work. Our approach is based on using new world technology to instill old world traditions. We understand that children need to be brighter, stronger, and more focused than ever; but we acknowledge that kindness, service to others, and etiquette are still the underpinnings of success. At Cedar River Academy, we support our students in developing all the skills they need to achieve their goals while in school, and in the real world. I am eager to watch our students as they progress from early education, where they are learning the basics of reading, writing and mathematics, through elementary and secondary classes, where they will apply and expand those skills, as they prepare for college and their adult lives. Please browse the information on this site, and feel free to contact me with any inquiries regarding our school. I look forward to meeting you and showing you our facilities. Kristie Brame, M.Ed. |
