If you are a great teacher, or if you believe you can become
great in the right environment, join our Team.
Cedar River Academy is unique. In addition to being
non-sectarian ...
-
We use an integrated thematic approach to education that
allows our educators to express their creativity and develop
lasting relationships with their students.
-
Our classes are small with never more than 16 students
per teacher.
-
Our programs empower students to learn broadly and deeply
as we individualize our instruction plans to assure the
advanced students are developing as rapidly as they can and
that students who need extra help are supported.
-
We teach approximately 190 days a year during an eleven
month program. In addition to teaching days, our teachers
participate in professional development programs that require
approximately 20 to 25 days per year.
-
We compensate our teachers based on their performance,
not on their tenure or the number of college credits they
hold. Earnings are only limited by individual ability to be
a truly great teacher.
-
While we are accredited by OSPI, we have defined our own
standards that exceed State requirements.
-
Our program is rich. Each of our students attend unique art
and second language programs every day.
-
Our educators collaborate to benefit from the knowledge,
experience, and talents of other Team members.
We have classroom positions open for this fall.
We require that all applicants have a current Washington State
teaching certificate for grades K-6, at minimum. Candidates must
meet requirements consistent with chapter
180-90 WAC.
If you match the above requirements, and want to demonstrate your
ability as a great teacher, please e-mail a resume
to HR.
Cedar River Academy offers a competitive salary and benefits
